How it started.
The idea for justdiscovered grew out of a simple recurring request from collectors: take the whole collection.
After years of working with collectors, the team at Miller & Miller Auctions had seen the same challenge time and again. Sellers often wanted a complete solution, while the traditional auction model naturally focused on the most valuable pieces.
One recent collection brought that need into sharper focus. Its owner had spent years assembling advertising and petroliana and was ready to sell, but only if the collection could be handled as a whole.
That moment became the catalyst for justdiscovered, created to give collectors a more complete way to sell and buyers more opportunities to discover pieces worth adding to their own collections.

justdiscovered is not an estate liquidator, clearing company or marketplace for general household contents.
We are a full-service auction company built for collectors.
The objects we sell are collected for their history, scarcity, design, maker, brand, subject matter or other intrinsic factors.
Collections are considered on an individual basis.
Meet the team
Dave Hummel
Operations Manager
David Hummel leads the team at justdiscovered Auctions. Bringing extensive industry experience, including six years with Shackelton Auctions, Dave has built a strong reputation for expertise, reliability, and customer service in the auction sector. Known for his strong leadership and extensive auction knowledge, Dave ensures high standards across every consignment and sale. Dave guides the business with a focus on seamless service, quality cataloging, and strong client relationships. In his spare time, Dave is an active baseball enthusiast and enjoys spending time golfing, unwinding at his cottage, and on his boat with family and friends.
Peter McCormick
Inventory & Warehouse Manager
Peter McCormick is the Inventory and Warehouse Manager at justdiscovered Auctions. Pete excels in inventory management, supply chain efficiency, and operations. His background ensures that auction items, consignments, and warehouse workflows are handled with precision, care, and reliability. When he’s off the clock, Pete usually spends his free time coaching local sports, golfing, and unwinding and socialising with family & friends.
Sean Usher
Appraiser & Curator
Sean Usher is an experienced appraiser, curator, and a key operational leader at justdiscovered Auctions as well as the founder and former owner of The Rusty Sign Shop in St. Thomas, Ontario. Bringing decades of hands-on expertise in the antiques and collectibles trade, Sean is instrumental in managing day-to-day operations, authentication, and item cataloging. Known for his sharp eye for historical significance and vintage design, Sean combines deep industry knowledge with a dedication to helping collectors evaluate, preserve, and uncover rare pieces. Outside of work, Sean enjoys travelling, expanding his own personal antique collection, and spending time with his wife, family & friends.
Meagan Brignell
Office Administrator
New to the auction industry Meagan Brignell is thrilled to support a full-service auction house. Meg brings a rich background to her role as Office Administrator at justdiscovered Auctions. She assists with daily administration and operations support including online auction setups while working closely with an exceptional team to deliver expedited, reliable, concierge-level customer service to our global clients. With over two decades of administration, HR, marketing, accounting, and management experience in various industries, Meg combines workflow optimization & efficiency with creative problem-solving and attention to detail. Outside of work, she balances her busy schedule by relaxing, and spending quality time with family and friends.
